SDSU Classic Men's Cross Country Results

       Juniors John Kern and York Thomas were the top finishers for the Wayne State men's cross country team Saturday at the South Dakota State Classic held in Brookings, South Dakota.  As a team, WSC finished in ninth place out of 12 teams with 245 points.  The meet featured five NCAA Division I teams, three Division II teams and three NAIA teams.  
        Kern placed 31st out of 79 runners in the men's division with a time of 27:08 on the 8,000 meter course.  Thomas followed in 43rd place at 27:24.  Other WSC finishers included Matt Seiler in 50th place at 28:15, Trevor Urkoski was 57th at 28:43 and Jason Schaaf came in 64th place at 29:43.
        Wayne State will host the NCAA Pre-Regional on Saturday, October 10th.
