Due to predicted snow, wind and cold temperatures for Saturday, the NCAA Pre-Regional Cross Country Meet scheduled for Saturday, October 10 (10 am) in Wayne has been moved up to Friday, October 9. The women's race will start at 12:30 p.m. followed by the men's race at 1:00 p.m.
The races will start on the football practice fields just north of the WSC Recreation Center and run onto the back nine of the Wayne Country Club before finishing back on the WSC Intramural softball fields north of the WSC Recreation Center.
Teams competing in the meet include Augustana College, MSU Moorhead, Northern State, University of Mary and Wayne State. The women's race (6,000 meters) will start at 12:30 p.m. followed by the men's race (10,000 meters) at 1:00 p.m.
Wayne State will host the 2009 NCAA Division II Central Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 7th to determine teams that will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Evansville, Indiana on November 21st.
