Robinson, Comba represent WSC on NSIC All-Conference Women's Soccer Team

            Two players from Wayne State College were named to the 2009 Northern Sun Conference Women's Soccer All-Conference Team announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Senior midfielder Valerie Robinson earned Third Team All-NSIC honors while junior defender Mikayla Comba received honorable mention honors.

            Robinson, a 5-1 senior midfielder from Council Bluffs, Iowa (Thomas Jefferson HS), led the Wildcats in scoring this season with seven goals and three assists for 17 points.  Her seven goals ranked 10th in the NSIC for goals scored this season.  Robinson was named NSIC Player of the Week on September 14th after scoring four goals with one assist in wins over Mount Marty and Westminster Colleges.  Comba, a 5-4 junior defender from Millard South High School, had one goal and two assists, all in conference play, for a total of four points while starting all 20 games this season for the Wildcats. 

            Wayne State College finished the 2009 season with a record of 4-15-1 overall and 1-11-1 in the Northern Sun Conference.
