NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Regional Rankings
Wayne State College moved up one spot to third in this week's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Central Regional Rankings released Wednesday afternoon by the league office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Wildcats are 19-4 overall and 15-4 against teams within the Central Region that is made up of teams in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Fort Lewis of Colorado and Concordia-St. Paul remain the top two teams in the region with Wayne State up one spot to third this week. Adams State of Colorado drops one spot to fourth while Augustana (S.D.) was promoted one spot to fifth. Minnesota Duluth moved up one spot to sixth, MSU Moorhead fell two spots to seventh, CSU-Pueblo remained eighth and Colorado Christian moved up one spot to ninth with Colorado Mines re-entering the top 10 this week at #10. The top eight teams in the region at the end of the regular season qualify for the NCAA National Tournament.
Wayne State will take an eight-game win streak on the road this weekend as the 19-4 Wildcats visit Northern State Friday night and the University of Mary Saturday with both games starting at 6:00 p.m.
