Wayne State College remains third in this week's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Central Regional Rankings released Wednesday afternoon by the league office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Wildcats are 23-4 overall and 19-4 against teams within the Central Region that is made up of teams in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The top three teams in the region are the same as last week with Fort Lewis College of Colorado ranked first followed by Concordia-St. Paul and Wayne State. Augustana moved up one spot to fourth with Adams State of Colorado slipping one notch to fifth. Minnesota Duluth remained sixth, Colorado Mines moved up one spot to seventh, MSU Moorhead fell one spot to eighth and Colorado Christian stayed ninth while Northern State entered the region rankings for the first time this season at 10th. The top eight teams in the region at the end of the regular season qualify for the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
