Wayne State College travels to Durango, Colorado this week for the NCAA Division II Central Regional Women's Basketball Tournament where the Wildcats face CSU-Pueblo in the opening game of the tournament. Tip off is set for 2:00 p.m. Central Time Friday afternoon (March 12) at Whalen Gymnasium.
This will be the first-ever matchup in women's basketball between the two schools. WSC is the #2 seed after winning the 2010 NSIC Sanford Health Tournament Finals on Sunday over Minnesota Duluth 77-67 while CSU-Pueblo is the #7 seed with a 20-10 record after winning the RMAC Tournament Finals Saturday night with a 61-60 win over tournament host Fort Lewis College.
