Sioux City Relays Final Results

                Sophomore Andrew Jansen was second in the 400 meter dash in a time of 49.59 seconds to record the top finish for the Wildcats as the Wayne State men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Sioux City Relays on Friday and Saturday.  The men's 4 x 100 meter relay team of Drew Molacek, Michael King, Cody Diehl and Alex Timperley also recorded a second place finish with a time of 42.47 seconds.

                Other top finishers included Nate Preston placing third in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (9:26.01) and Alex Timperley was third in the triple jump with a top leap of 45' 11 ¾”.  Jacob Mathieson was fourth in the hammer throw (158' 11”) and Jeff Mills notched a seventh place finish in the pole vault clearing 14' 0”.

                The next meet for Wayne State will be next weekend when the Wildcats send some athletes to the Drake Relays in Des Moines while the rest of the team will compete at the Hastings College Last Chance Qualifier in Hastings, Nebraska on Saturday.
