The Wayne State College baseball program will be conducting two baseball camps in the upcoming weeks. The Total Skills Camp will be on Sunday, September 12 with the Hitting/Pitching Intensity Camp set for Saturday, September 18.
The Total Skills Camp will emphasize all aspects of baseball – which include fielding, pitching, catching, hitting and base running. This camp is great for young baseball players. The Hitting/Pitching Intensity Camp is designed to give each camper advanced instruction in each area. The Wayne State coaching staff and the Wildcat baseball team will instruct the camps. One of the many great qualities of the camps is the one-on-one instruction all of the campers receive from the Wildcat staff of instructors.
The Total Skills Camp will run from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex with registration starting at 12:30 p.m. at the baseball field with the Hitting/Pitching Intensity Camp being held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. also at the baseball field. The camps are open to players ages 8-18. Players are asked to bring their baseball shoes, glove, bat and gym shoes.
The fee for one camp is $50 or $90 for both and includes a camp T-shirt. In case of inclement weather, the camps will be moved indoors to the WSC Recreation Center.
