Wayne State College

2015:  Named First Team All-NSIC, NCBWA First Team All-Central Region, Daktronics/D2SIDA All-Central Region Second Team and NCBWA Honorable Mention All-American after leading Wayne State in most offensive categories...hit 14 home runs with 48 RBI's while ranking second on the team in batting average at .323 to be named Most Valuable Player...was the only player to start and play in all 51 games for the Wildcats...tied for third in the NSIC in home runs, sixth in total bases (129), tied for first in triples (5) and eighth in slugging percentage (.694)...homered in five straight and six of seven games vs. Minot State and Northern State from March 21 - March 29...was 6 for 7 with three homers, one triple, five RBI and five runs scored in doubleheader at Minnesota Crookston (4/12/15)...had 16 multi-hit games and a team-high 14 multi-RBI contests...was 2 for 4 with a home run and season-high four RBI in 10-4 win over Minot State (3/22/15)...named NSIC Player of the Week on February 24th after going 6 for 14 in opening weekend series at Newman (Kan.).

Before Wayne State:  Played two seasons at College of Southern Idaho...hit .255 during 2014 season with 14 RBI's...had standout freshman season in 2013, posting a .295 average with five homers and 29 RBI's.

High School:  Graduate of Langley Secondary School in British Columbia...helped team win the provincial championship in 2012 as a senior.

Personal:  Son of Joe and Rosa Ackerman...born October 26, 1994...majoring in sport management.
