Biography

2009: Set numerous Wayne State and several Northern Sun Conference career passing and total yardage records during senior season at WSC...selected NSIC South Division All-Conference First Team for second straight season after completing 253 of 390 passes (64.9%) for 3,253 yards and 26 TD's with just 11 interceptions...finished WSC career with 12,001 yards of total offense, just the ninth player in NCAA Division II history to pass the 12,000 yard mark...also holds the NSIC career marks for passing yards (8,996) and total offense yardage (10,170) in NSIC games...led NSIC in total offense (337.4) and passing offense (295.7) per game, ranking fifth in NCAA Division II in total offense and 16th nationally in passing efficiency (151.3)...selected NSIC Offensive Player of the Week twice, on 9-14-09 and 9-28-09...was named D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week on 9-30-09 after completing 34 of 47 passes for 425 yards in 42-39 win over Southwest Minnesota State...named Egg Bowl MVP on 11-7-09 after completing 15 of 18 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns in 47-21 win over Mary...was named winner of the NSIC Glen Galligan Award on 11-12-09, given to student athlete who is academically superior while making a positive contribution to his institution over four years...one of five WSC players named to the 2009 NSIC Fall All-Academic Team...named 2009-10 WSC Male Athlete of the Year.

2008: Named to the NSIC South Division All-Conference First Team as quarterback, leading the Wildcats to a 9-3 record and first-ever NCAA playoff berth...became the WSC all-time leader in career passing touchdowns and passing yards during the season and is 36 completions shy of passing Jaime Jones for all-time career completions mark at WSC...completed 222 of 375 passes for 2,902 yards and 16 touchdowns with 15 interceptions, completing 59.2 percent of his passes...also ranked second on the team in rushing with 518 yards on 133 attempts and five touchdowns...led the NSIC in total offense (285.0 ypg) and was second in passing yards per game (241.8)...named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on 9-2-08 after posting 295 yards of total offense in 28-12 win at Nebraska-Kearney...he completed 15 of 23 passes for 165 yards and rushed for another 130 yards on just six carries and two scores vs. Lopers...also named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on 10-20-08 after throwing for career-high 469 yards and five touchdowns in 55-18 win over Winona State...was named 2008 NSIC South Division Preseason Offensive Player of the Year to start junior season.

2007: Quarterbacked Wildcats to first post-season appearance in 37 years...Earned NSIC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team honors...Finished the 2007 season with 216 completions out of 381 pass attempts while throwing for 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions to earn an efficiency rating of 128.83...Added 324 yards on the ground off of 130 carries and scored four rushing touchdowns...Was named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on 9-17-07 for his 20 of 32 performance for 218 yards and four touchdowns (three passing and one rushing) in 34-28 win at Upper Iowa...Named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week once again and also Nebraska NCAA Division II Offensive Player of the Week on 10-29-07 after accounting for 513 yards of total offense to help rally the Wildcats to a dramatic 48-44 comeback win at Concordia-St. Paul on 10-27-07...Threw for a new career-high 406 yards on 11-10-07 vs. Winona State and a career-high five touchdowns on 10-27-07 in the thrilling comeback victory at Concordia-St. Paul.

2006: Appeared in all 11 games at quarterback as true freshman, becoming starter in fourth game of season at MSU Moorhead on 9-22-06......completed 105 of 243 passes for 1,595 yards with 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.... threw for career-high 325 yards with three touchdowns against Bemidji State on 10-14-06... ranked sixth in the NSIC in passing efficiency (109.4), passing average/game (145.0) and total offense (155.7).

High School: Set several new state records at Bellevue West High School in the 2005 season. . . The younger brother of Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Fluellen had 37 touchdown passes while averaging 250.6 yards per game passing, both Class A state records. . . Finished the 2005 season with 2,506 passing yards while leading Bellevue West to a 7-2 regular season record and a berth in the Class A playoffs. . . Was a three-year starter at Bellevue West, earning Class A All-State and All-Nebraska honors as a senior along with Red Zone Player of the Year honors.
