2008: Became first All-American football player at Wayne State since 1993 (Brad Ottis) after earning First Team All-American honors from AFCA and Second Team All-American honors from Daktronics and CoSIDA...finished fourth on the team in total tackles with 65, 41 solo and 24 assisted stops...had 14 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, six quarterback hurries, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one blocked kick...also earned First Team Daktronics All Super Region #3 and NSIC South Division First Team Defense honors...led NSIC in sacks, tackles for loss, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, ranking third in NCAA Division II in sacks and eighth in tackles for loss...had season-high 10 tackles (nine solo) with one sack, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble at St. Cloud State on 9-13-08...had eight tackles and 3.5 sacks vs. Bemidji State on 10-11-08...had three sacks and five tackles vs. Concordia, St. Paul on 11-1-08...named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week on 9-8-08 after recording nine tackles with 1.5 sacks, three tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and four quarterback hurries vs. MSU Moorhead on 9-6-08.
2007: Started all 12 games for the Wildcats at defensive end...Earned NSIC All-Conference First Team Defense honors...Finished season with 69 total tackles (37 solo and 32 assisted), 20.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, one fumble forced, three fumble recoveries and two passes broken up...Named Nebraska NCAA Division II Defensive Player of the Week on 9-17-07 following his performance at Upper Iowa on 9-15-07 in a 34-28 win in which he registered eight tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and fumble recovery.
2006: Had strong sophomore season as backup defensive end for Wildcats, making 20 tackles in nine games with 11 solo stops and nine assisted tackles......had five tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception for 32 yards....best game was against Bemidji State with five tackles (four solo) with two sacks and one interception against the Beavers.
2005: Appeared in nine games on special teams and backup defensive end for the Wildcats. Credited with two solo tackles and six assisted stops on the season. Had one fumble recovery vs. Concordia-St. Paul on 10-22-05.
2004: Sat out season as a redshirt.
High School: Was a standout athlete at Scribner-Snyder High School, starting in football, basketball and track and field.
