2015 Outdoor:  Won the national championship in the shot put at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships while also placing third in the discus to earn two All-American honors...captured first place in the shot put at NCAA Division II National Championships (5/23/15) with top mark of 52' 5 1/2" and took third in the discus with season-best mark of 175' 7"...named the NSIC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year after winning the shot put with a new school record mark of 54' 1/2"), placing third in the discus (157' 6") and sixth in the hammer throw (174' 1')...won the shot put at seven of eight meets during the season with a fourth place finish at the Drake Relays (*4/24/15) amongst a stellar Division I field...was named Most Outstanding Female Athlete at the Sioux City Relays (4/18/15) after winning the shot put (53' 9") and the discus (158' 10") while placing second in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 178' 5"...was named the NSIC Women's Field Athlete of the Week the first three weeks of the season (April 7, 14 and 21st)...named Wayne State's Female Athlete of the Year.

2015 Indoor:  Became first-ever indoor female NCAA national champion after winning the shot put at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama (3/14/15)...broke her own school record three times at nationals and won event with top mark of 54' 2 3/4", winning event by 2 feet 11 inches...was the NSIC indoor champion in the shot put (51' 11 1/4") and placed sixth in the weight throw at 56' 11 1/4"...was named NSIC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week twice - 12/10/14 and 2/3/15...won the shot put with then school record mark of 52' 8 1/4" at the South Dakota State Indoor Invite (2/14/15)...won the shot put at eight of nine meets during the season, placing third among a stellar Division I field at the Husker Invite (2/7/15).

2014 Outdoor: Was a three time national qualifier and earned All-American Honors in the shot put...placed second in the shot put with mark of 49' 9 3/4" at NCAA Division II Nationals... also competed in the discus (13th) and hammer throw (16th)... was named NSIC Women's Field Athlete of the Year after winning the shot put (51' 1/4") and discus (154' 5") while also placing eighth in the hammer throw at the NSIC Championships... selected Central Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year by USTFCCCA... set new school record in the discus with winning throw of 164'0" at UNK Loper Invite.

2014 Indoor:  Earned NCAA Division II All-American honors for a second straight season in the shot put, placing sixth at nationals with a mark of 47' 11 3/4"...also qualified for nationals in the weight throw, finishing 11th at 56' 5 3/4"...was NSIC Indoor champion in the shot put (49' 3") while also taking fourth in the weight throw at 57' 8 1/4"...set a new school record in the shot put on 2/21/14, throwing 50' 2 1/2" to take first at South Dakota Twilight Meet to earn NSIC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors...also named NSIC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on 1/28/14 after winning shot put (48' 10") and taking third in the weight throw (55' 0") at the Wildcat Open on 1/25/14.

2013 Outdoor: National qualifier in the shot put and discus...named All-American in the discus after a fifth place finish with new school record toss of 163' 7"...finished 16th place in the shot put at nationals with top mark of 44' 11 1/2"...competed in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw during the season...had automatic NCAA qualifying mark in the shot put at the NSIC Championships with a first place throw of 48' 8 3/4" to be named All-Conference...also All-Conference in the discus placing first at the NSIC Championships with a throw of 162'...also earned All-Conference honors in the hammer throw with a throw of 168' 8" at the NSIC Championships.

2013 Indoor: Earned NCAA Division II All-American honors with a sixth place finish in the shot put at Birmingham, Alabama on 3/8/13...her best throw at nationals was 47' 2 1/2"...she earned All-NSIC honors in the shot put with a third place finish at 46' 5 1/4" and just missed placing in the weight throw finishing ninth at 53' 8 1/2"...her marks in both events at the NSIC Championships were season highs.

2012 Outdoor: Participated in the shot put, hammer throw and discus for Wayne State...set a NCAA provisional mark in the shot put at the NSIC Championships with a throw of 46'10" to place second...finished fourth at the Prairie Wolf Invite in the discus with a toss of 183'1"...was sixth in the hammer throw at the Wildcat Classic with a throw of 165'3".

2012 Indoor: Competed in the shot put and the weight throw during freshman season at Wayne State...finished eighth in the shot put at the NSIC Championships with a throw of 43' 1" and was 12th in the weight throw with a throw of 49' 11 3/4"...threw a season best 44' 3 1/4" in the shot put at the WSC mini meet and notched a season long of 51' 3" in the weight throw at the WSC mini meet.

High School: Graduate of Boone Central High School.  Had a successful high school career in the shot put and discus for the Cardinals.  This spring, she placed fifth in the Class B discuss with a mark of 127-5. Wells has personal best marks of 140-0 in the discus and 40-1 in the shot put and is a two year state track qualifier. 

Personal: Daughter of John and Lea Ann Wells...born on August 11, 1992...majoring in Pre-Med and Applied Human Sport and Physiology.
