A.D. Benson

 

A.D. Benson was a cross country and track athlete at Wayne State College from 1964-1968. He was an NAIA All-American in cross country in 1966, finishing 14th in the national meet with a time of 21:05 over the four-mile course. He is one of just four All-Americans in cross country at Wayne State College. Benson was killed in action in Vietnam in 1969.

 

Benson was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame October 11, 1980.
