Don Kane

 

Don Kane attended Stanton High School before coming to WSC. Kane was a three-sport standout at WSC competing in track, football and basketball from 1948-52. He was the first winner of the Omaha World-Herald Athlete of the Year Award in 1952 and held the career record for most touchdown passes at WSC. Kane has served as both a referee and a school administrator. At the time of his induction, he was the principal at Missouri Valley, Iowa, Middle School.

 

Kane was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame February 3, 1979.
