Paul Otte is a retired businessman in Wayne who was selected the Citizen of the Year in 1987 and inducted into the Hall of Contributions at Wayne State in 1993. Otte has assisted Wayne State athletics in many projects that have been beneficial to past and present students. He has always made himself available to help out according to college officials. Otte was instrumental in planning of the Hall of Fame in 1978.

Otte was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 1993.
