Rich Symonds

 

Rich Symonds was a stellar baseball player at Wayne State College from 1965-1968. He was a 1968 NAIA All-American for Wayne State. His career batting average was .365. He played on two conference championship teams while playing second base for the Wildcats. In addition, he was a three-time All Nebraska College Conference infielder, three time NAIA All-District player, and was the team captain and MVP his senior year.

 

Symonds was inducted into the WSC Athletics Hall of Fame October 3, 1987.
