Augustana Fall Invitational Men's Golf Results
The Wayne State College men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Augustana College Fall Invitational played Sunday and Monday at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Wildcats shot rounds of 317 and 310 for a two-day team total of 627. South Dakota captured the team title with a 584 (293-291), three shots better than Concordia, St. Paul and Nebraska-Kearney who tied for second at 587.
Individually, Wayne State had three players tie for 21st place overall with two-day scores of 153. Tyler DeJong shot rounds of 78 and 75, Adam Fields came in with 77 and 76 while Tyler Thompson shot scores of 75 and 78. Other WSC finishers included Michael Phillips in a tie for 53rd overall with 168 (87-81) and Justin Cunningham was 55th overall with a 169 after shooting rounds of 87 and 82.
The next meet for Wayne State College will be Sunday and Monday, September 20-21 when the Wildcats travel to Lake Elmo, Minnesota for the Concordia, St. Paul Invitational.
