NSIC Men's Golf Championship Fourth Round Results
The Wayne State College men's golf team shot a team score of 313 Saturday in the second round of the NSIC Men's Golf Spring Championship being played at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minnesota. With yesterday's score of 305, WSC has a 36-hole score of 618 with the final round of the 90-hole championship slated for Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m.
Bemidji State posted the top team score for the second straight day, shooting a 288. The overall team leader remains Minnesota State at 1177 following four rounds with Bemidji State in second at 1186. Wayne State is eighth at 1237.
Sioux City Heelan junior Adam Fields posted the top score for the Wildcats on Saturday, shooting a five-over par 76 after shooting a 75 Friday. His 151 score is tied for 18th. Bellevue West graduate Jake Hirz is next for the Wildcats carding scores of 73 Friday and 79 Saturday for a 152, tied for 23rd. Sophomore Tyler Thompson shot 76-81 for a 157 followed by Tyler DeJong (81-77) at 158 and Justin Cunningham at 172 (89-83).
