Winona State Men's Golf Spring Invitational Results
The Wayne State College men's golf team finished third with a team score of 615 (306-309) at the Winona State Spring Invitational played in Onalaska, Wisconsin Sunday and Monday at the Golf Club at Cedar Creek. Bemidji State won the team title with a 593 while Minnesota State finished second at 604 in the eight team tournament.
Following Wayne State in the team scoring were Winona State (616), Upper Iowa (617), Augustana (625), Viterbo of Wisconsin (632) and Minnesota, Crookston at 633.
Individually for Wayne State, junior Adam Fields shot rounds of 73 and 74 to finish in sixth place overall at five-over par 147. Tyler DeJong tied for eighth place overall with a 151 after firing rounds of 76 and 75. Other WSC scores included Jake Hirz tied for 21st at 156 (78-78), Tyler Thompson was 43rd overall at 164 (79-85) and Scott Barnes finished with a 165 (85-80) to tie for 44th overall.
