Nebraska Wesleyan Quad Meet Results

                The Wayne State College men's indoor track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday at a pair of meets in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Several athletes competed in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite at the Devaney Sports Center while the remainder of the team participated Saturday in the Nebraska Wesleyan Quad Meet along with host Nebraska Wesleyan, Hastings College and Concordia University.

                Andrew Jansen and Ross Bunchek each recorded top five finishes at the Sevigne Husker Invite as Jansen took third place in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:55.66 while Bunchek took fifth place in the weight throw at 62' 8 ¾”. 

                The Wildcat men had three first place finishes in Saturday's Nebraska Wesleyan Quad Meet as senior Alex Timperley was first in the triple jump (46' 2 ¾”) and second in the long jump (20' 10 ½”).  Jared Balady took first in the 400 meter dash (55.24) and Zach Thomsen won the 600 meter run (1:23.41).

                Wayne State will compete next Saturday at the Concordia Invitational in Seward, Nebraska.
