The Wayne State men's golf team shot rounds of 335 and 330 for a 36-hole team score of 665 to open the 2012-13 season at the Wildwood Lodge Concordia University Invitational played Sunday and Monday at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. O'Neill sophomore
Blake Bauer was the top Wildcat finisher with rounds of 76 and 81 for 157.
Nebraska-Omaha captured the team title with a 601, three strokes ahead of second place Augustana College at 604. Minot State was third at 610 followed by Concordia-St. Paul with a 613 and Minnesota State fifth at 615. St. Cloud State, Upper Iowa and Winona State tied for sixth at 617 with Concordia-St. Paul B ninth at 627. Minnesota, Crookston and Sioux Falls tied for 10
th at 630 with Wayne State 12
th at 665.
Individually for Wayne State, Bauer had the lone score of the weekend for the Wildcats with his four-over 76 on Sunday followed by an 81 Monday for 157 to place tied for 36

Jack Peterson each tied for 52
nd place with 36-hole totals of 166. Greenwood shot a pair of 83's while Peterson carded scores of 89 and 77. Battle Creek freshman

Colin Preston coming in at 180 with rounds of 91 and 89.
Wayne State will be in action again on next Sunday and Monday (September 23-24) at the St. Cloud State Husky Invitational in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
