Linda Anderson named Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs at Wayne State College

            Wayne State College Director of Athletics Mike Powicki has announced that Linda Anderson has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs.  Anderson, a native of Wayne, will begin her duties with WSC on March 1. 
            "We feel extremely fortunate to hire a professional of Linda's caliber and expertise," commented Powicki.  "She brings numerous years of coaching and athletics administrative experience at all levels to Wayne State College.  Linda will most definitely be an asset to Wildcat Athletics moving forward."
            Anderson comes to Wayne State after serving the last eight years as Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.  Her duties included being the senior compliance officer for 20 sports and supervisor of six at Truman State, advisor to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and oversight of game management.
            Prior to Truman State, Anderson served as Director of Athletics at Maryville University in St. Louis from 2004-07, Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota (1985-2004) and was interim director of women's athletics, head softball coach and interim volleyball coach at Bemidji State University in Minnesota from 1983-85.
            "I am excited about joining the athletics staff at Wayne State College and returning to my home town," stated Anderson.  "The athletics leadership at Wayne State has an enthusiastic vision for Wildcat teams which I am eager to be a part of.  I look forward to working with the coaches and staff and getting re-acquainted with the Wayne community."
