2011: Ran in all five meets for WSC...placed 41st at the Augustana Twilight Invite with a time of 21:07, his best time on a four mile run...ran the NSIC Championship Meet course in 27:14 and finished 70th with his best time on an 8K course...finished the season at the Central Regional placing 92nd with a time of 37:31 which was his best in a 10K meet...selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team for a third straight season.

2010: Participated in all six meets in 2010 season...had top 8,000 meter time of 27:19 at Briar Cliff Invite on 10-9-10...was 49th at NSIC Championships in Wayne on 11-6-10 with time of 28:28...one of four Wildcat runners named to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2009: Competed in every meet for the Wildcats during his sophomore year... ran a personal best 37:02 at the Pre-Regional in Wayne to finish in a season best 26th place overall on 10/09/09... ran a season best time of 29:02 to finish 73rd at the NSIC Championships on 10/24/09...selected to the 2009 NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2008: Competed in four meets for Wayne State in his freshman season...finished in 14th place at the Northern State Open on 9-5-08 with a time of 22:02 (6K)...finished in 34th at the Dakota State Invite on 9-27-08 with a time of 28:13 (8K).

High School: Graduate of Atkinson West Holt High School...was a four-year state cross country qualifier and placed eighth in the Class D 1600 meter run last year for the Huskies with a time of 4:45.65 while just missing a medal at last fall’s Class D State Cross Country meet finishing 18^th at 18:16.92...also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic All-State honors in basketball and track and field.

Personal: Son of Randy and Lynette Schaaf...born on July 12, 1989...majoring in criminal justice...older brother Troy Schaaf was a WSC cross country and track runner from 2002-05.
