Biography
2012 Outdoor: Competed in the long jump, triple jump and javelin for the Wildcats...had season-bests in all three events at the NSIC Championships...finished fourth in the triple jump at 38'2 1/4", sixth in the javelin with a throw of 120'2" and was ninth in the long jump jumping 17'11".
2012 Indoor: Participated in the 60 meter dash, long jump and triple jump during senior season with the Wildcats...finished second in the triple jump at the NSIC Championships with a jump of 37' 2 1/4" (season best) and was 12th in the long jump with a distance of 17' 1 1/2"...had a season long mark of 17' 9 3/4" in the long jump at the Concordia Invite and a season-best 60 meter dash at the Nebraska Wesleyan Invite with a time of 8.39...named to the 2012 NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
2011 Outdoor: Competed in four events at NSIC Outdoor Championships... was 12th in the triple jump (35'5"), 17th in the javelin (97'6") and 20th in long jump at 16'2 1/2"... also ran legs on 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays during the season... had season best mark of 120'0" in the javelin to finsih second at Howard Wood Relays on 5-7-11... was second in the triple jump at Wildcat Classic (4-26-11) with season best mark of 36'6 3/4" and had top long jump of 17' 3 1/2" at Prairie Wolf Invite on 4-22-11...named to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team for the second straight season.
2011 Indoor: Placed in two events at the NSIC Championships in Bemidji, taking fifth in the triple jump at 36' 3 1/2" and seventh in the long jump at 17' 3 1/2"...had season-best marks of 17' 4 1/2" in long jump and 36' 9 1/2" in triple jump at Concordia Invite in Seward on 2-12-11...also ran leg on school record setting 4 x 200 meter relay team at Buena Vista Classic on 2-5-11 at 1:50.77...selected to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
2010 Outdoor: Competed in the long jump and triple jump during the outdoor season...was 10th in the triple jump (35' 1/2") and 18th in the long jump (season-best 15' 10 1/2") at the NSIC Championships...had season-best mark of 35' 6 3/4" in the triple jump at Hastings College Last Chance Open on 4-24-10...one of seven WSC runners named to NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.
2010 Indoor: Placed sixth in the long jump at the NSIC Championships in Mankato jumping 17' 4 1/4" and placed ninth in the triple jump (35' 4 1/2")...earned a first place finish in the triple jump at the Wildcat Preseason Invite on 2-12-09 jumping 35' 7 3/4"...finished third in both the long jump and triple jump at the Wildcat Open on 2-13-10 jumping a personal best 17' 3/4" in the long jump and 35' 5 3/4" in the triple jump...one of eight Wildcats named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
2009 Outdoor: Had a strong outdoor season in the jumps for Wayne State...placed sixth in the triple jump (35' 10 3/4") at the NSIC Outdoor Championships...opened the season with a third place finish in the triple jump (36' 2 1/4") and a fifth place finish in the long jump (16' 4 1/2") at the Mount Marty Invite on 3-29-09...placed first in the triple jump (35' 8 3/4") and third in the long jump (16' 1/2") and also ran a leg on the 4x100 relay team (50.24) which finished first at the Wildcat Open on 4-3-09...finished third in the triple jump (35' 1 3/4"), fourth in the 4x100 relay (50.55) and sixth in the long jump (15' 8 3/4") at the Sioux City Relays on 4-18-09...also finished sixth in the triple jump (35' 2 1/2") at the Howard Wood Relays on 5-2-09.
2009 Indoor: Placed sixth in the triple jump with season-best mark of 35' 8 1/2" at the NSIC Indoor Championships in Bemidji...also finished 13th in the long jump (16' 3 1/4")...had season-best jump of 16' 7" to place sixth at Minnesota State Open on 1-31-09...also finished fourth in the triple jump at same meet with mark of 35' 6".
High School: Graduate of Meridian High School...was a three year starter in volleyball and four year starter in basketball while also excelling in track and field.
Personal: Daughter of Michael and Lorrie Hofstetter...born on January 11, 1990...majoring in science education at Wayne State.
