Biography
2015 Outdoor: Earned All-NSIC honors in the hammer throw and was an NCAA Division II national qualifier in the event...recorded season-high mark of 183' 4" in the hammer throw to place third at the NSIC Outdoor Championships (5/9/15) and finished fourth in the shot put (46' 1 1/2")...at the NCAA Division II Nationals (5/21/15), Platt finished 18th in the hammer throw with a top effort of 171' 2"...top mark in the discus was 147' 3", good for a fourth place finish at the Wildcat Classic (3/28/15).
2015 Indoor: Was a national qualifier in the shot put and placed in two events at the NSIC Indoor Championships...recorded season-best mark of 47' 3 1/2" in the shot put to place third with NCAA provisional mark at NSIC Indoor Championships...also placed eighth in the weight throw (56' 2") at the NSIC Indoor Championships (2/27/15)...finished 10th at the NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals in the shot put with top mark of 46' 2 1/2"...recorded top throw of 58' 2" in the weight throw (NCAA provisional mark) to place second at the South Dakota Twilight Meet (2/20/15).
High School: Graduate of Ainsworth High School... was a standout thrower medaling in the shot put and discus in Class C three years in high school... was state runner up in two events as a senior placing second in the discus (133'5") and second in the shot put (44' 9 3/4")...as a junior was Class C runner up in the shot put (43' 7 1/4") while taking sixth in the discus (124' 6")... during her sophomore year Platt was fourth at state in both events.
Personal: Daughter of Shannon Platt and Wendy Platt... born July 1,1995... major is undecided.
