2021 Outdoor: 
Won the hammer throw at the NSIC Outdoor Championships for a third straight year with mark of 206' 10"...was NCAA Division II Outdoor Championship national qualifier and finished 12th in hammer throw at 197' 5"...posted career-best mark of 215' 0" in hammer throw at Sioux City Relays (4/16/21) to place second...had second place finish at Drake Relays in hammer throw at 199' 3"...threw over 200 feet in season-opening Wildcat Classic (3/27/21), placing second at 203' 2"...took first in hammer throw at Central Nebraska UNK Challenge (4/3/21) with mark of 191' 8"...named to NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2021 Indoor:  Placed second in the weight throw at NSIC Indoor Championships (66' 2 1/2") to earn All-NSIC honors...was an NCAA National Indoor qualifier for a third straight season, finishing 14th in weight throw at 59' 4 3/4"...threw career-best mark of 67' 11 1/2" to take first at the USD Dakota Realty Meet (1/23/21)...also took first in weight throw at Herschel Neil/Northwest Missouri State Invite (1/30/21) at 65' 0" and at WSC Wildcat Invite (1/16/21) with mark of 66' 3"...was second at Ichabod/Washburn Invite (2/13/21) with throw of 65' 11 3/4" and took third at SDSU Last Chance Invite (2/20/21) at 67' 3/4")...selected to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2020 Outdoor:  Earned NSIC Spring All-Academic Team honors.

2020 Indoor:  NCAA National Indoor Qualifier in the weight throw...earned All-NSIC honors in weight throw placing second at NSIC Indoor Championships with career-best mark of 67' 3 1/4"...took first place at three meets in weight throw - Ward Haylett/Doane Invite (1/11/20), USD Dakota Realty Alumni Meet (2/8/20) and Concordia Invite (2/14/20)...threw 66' 7" at Concordia Invite and was fifth in strong Division I field at Sevigne/Husker Invite (2/7/20) with throw of 65' 3 1/2"...repeat selection to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2019 Outdoor: Was repeat champion in the hammer throw at the NSIC Outdoor Championships (5/10/19) and was a national qualifier for the second year in a row...winning mark in hammer throw at NSIC meet was 192' 2'' and later placed 21st at NCAA Division II National Championships (5/23/19) with top mark of 181' 4''...recorded personal best effort of 200' 0'' at Concordia Invite (4/6/19)...took first place at Mount Marty Invite (190' 8'') and Concordia Blizzard Buster (191' 8'') in back to back meets on April 24th and 26th...selected to NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2019 Indoor: Earned All-American Honors with personal best throw of 66' 7 3/4'' to finish seventh in the weight throw at NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kan. (3/8/19)...was NSIC champion in the weight throw with mark of 66' 1 3/4''...named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week twice--1/15/19 and 2/18/19...earned NSIC Field Athlete of the Week Honors after winning the weight throw at Ward Haylett Invite (62' 3 1/4'') and again after mark of 65' 7 3/4'' at SDSU Last Chanc Invite (2/15/19)...named to NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.

2018 Outdoor: 
Was NSIC champion in hammer throw with mark of 190' 10" at NSIC Outdoor Championships...recorded NCAA provisional mark of 194' 6" at UNK Loper Last Chance Meet (5/13/18) to qualify for NCAA Outdoor Nationals...finished 14th at NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in hammer throw (5/24/18) with mark of 190' 9"...was third at Nebraska Invite (5/5/18) with top mark of 183' 8".

2018 Indoor: Competed in just one meet during the indoor season, placing second in the weight throw (59' 3 1/2") at SDSU Division II Invitational (1/19/18).

2017 Outdoor:  Did not compete.

2017 Indoor: Competed in weight throw during indoor season...made nearly 10 foot improvement from start of the season...placed seventh in the weight throw at NSIC Indoor Championships with personal best mark of 55' 6 1/2"...earned fifth place finish at USD Last Chance Meet (2/17/17) with mark of 52' 11 1/2"...posted sixth place finish at SDSU DII Invite with throw of 49' 1 3/4".

High School:  Graduate of Niobrara Public Schools...multi sport standout, starting four years in football, basketball and track and field...had 290 career tackles in football, earning All-Niobrara Valley Conference and All-District honors four years while serving as team captain for three years...in track and field, had top mark in discus of 135' 1" to place fifth in Class C-8 District meet during senior season.

Personal:  Son of Curtis and Carol Kalkowski...born December 26, 1997...majoring in agri-business at WSC.
