High School: Graduate of Bellvue West High School... was a three year starter in baseball and football... earned Class A honorable mention All-State honors during senior season... hit .333 during summer legion ball in 2013 recording 44 hits with 14 doubles, four triples, 35 RBI's and 32 runs scored...in football, was an All-District and Honorable Mention All-State selection at linebacker.

Personal: Son of Mike and Jenn Gilbert... born October 28, 1995... majoring in Education at WSC.
