Before Wayne State:  Played one season at the University of Sioux Falls.

High School:  Graduate of West Central High School in South Dakota...was a two year starter in football and basketball...had 66 tackles and two interceptions during senior season, helping team win Class 11A State Title in South Dakota.

Personal:  Son of Danyel Swartwout...born October 1, 1995...majoring in applied human and sport physiology.
