Biography

2014:  Finished third on the team in receiving with 42 catches for 470 yards and two touchdowns while playing in all 11 games with two starts at wide receiver...averaged 11.2 yards per catch with a season-long reception of 24 yards vs. MSU Moorhead (9/20/14) and at Upper Iowa (11/1/14)...had season-high 115 yards receiving on eight catches and one TD at Southwest Minnesota State (10/25/14) and also had eight receptions for 83 yards vs. Augustana...one of 16 Wildcat players selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2013:  Appeared in 10 games with one start at wide receiver after starting the season on defense as a backup safety...had three catches for 22 yards at Minnesota State...on defense, was credited with one solo tackle vs. Minnesota Duluth...selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2012: Played in eight games at quarterback for Wayne State during the season...dual threat quarterback completed 60 of 104 passes attempted for 659 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions while recording 373 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 71 rushing attempts...averaged 5.3 rushing yards per carry and had 120.0 total yards per game...went 81 yards for a touchdown on his first ever rush for the Wildcats...had two rushing touchdowns and 34 yards on seven carries vs. Minnesota State...had a season high 14 carries for 85 yards vs. Winona State...completed a season high 19 passes on 24 attempts for 183 yards at Upper Iowa...recorded three passing touchdowns and 224 yards on 11 of 17 passing at Concordia-St. Paul.

2011: Red-shirted during freshman season with the Wildcats.

High School:  Graduate from Wauconda High School in Illinois...Kent was named All-State Honorable Mention in 2010 and All-North Suburban Conference honors in 2009 and 2010...as quarterback Kent threw for 3,100 yards with 25 touchdowns and rushed for 1,400 yards with 22 rushing touchdowns in two seasons under center...also holds the school record for passing yards in a career...earned All-Conference honors in wrestling in 2009 and 2010...earned Academic All-Conference honors. 

Personal:  Son of Kevin and Dawn Kent...born October 25, 1992...majoring in business administration/management at Wayne State.
