2014: Played in all 11 games with one start at outside linebacker, making 26 tackles with 21 solo stops...had four sacks for 25 yards, one fumble recovery, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup...had season-high six tackles vs. MSU Moorhead (9/20/14)...credited with five tackles at St. Cloud State (9/13/14)...made three solo tackles with one sack for eight yards vs. Augustana (10/18/14)...had three solo tackles and one sack for seven yards vs. Winona State (10/4/14).

2013:  Made switch from wide receiver to X linebacker and made 19 tackles while playing in all 11 games with two starts...was also a regular on special teams...had season-high five tackles vs. Concordia-St. Paul (10-26-13)...credited with one breakup and one quarterback hurry vs. Mary (9-14-13)...made four tackles vs. Minnesota Duluth (9-28-13).

2012: Played in 10 games as a backup receiver and special teams player during the season...had one reception for five yards at MSU Moorhead in the season opener...recorded eight tackles (six solo, two assisted) with a season-high two solo tackles vs. Augustana on 9-29-2012 and at Upper Iowa on 11-3-2012.

2011: Appeared in eight games for WSC during the season as a special teams player...recorded 12 tackles with 10 solo and two assisted...had three solo tackles and one assisted on 10/8/11 vs. the University of Mary.

2010: Redshirted

High School: Graduate of Laurel-Concord HS...Saunders was a three year starter in football, four year starter in track and field and a two year starter in basketball...had 887 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns as a senior helping the Bears to a Class C2 Playoff berth and a 5-4 record...was an All-District and All-Area selection in football as a junior and senior...also helped Laurel-Concord to a sixth place finish in Class C Boys Track as a junior in 2009...had eight TD catches during junior season.
