High School:  Graduate of Spirit Lake High School in Iowa...was a two year starter and three year letter winner in football...played on three district championship teams and earned First Team Class 2A All-District honors as a junior and senior...rushed for 727 yards and 12 TD's during senior season, averaging 7.3 yards per game while helping team to 11-1 record and quarterfinals of Iowa Class 2A playoffs...as a junior, rushed for 882 yards on 146 carries with 10 touchdowns.
