2009: Redshirted

High School: Was a three-time All-Conference performer in football, helping his team to an 11-1 record this past season and a semi-final berth in the Minnesota Class 4A playoffs.  Smale had 26 catches for 541 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior, averaging 20.8 yards per reception.  

Personal: Son of Vince and Bridget Smale... Born Janurary 5, 1991... Major is undecided.
