High School: Wright is a three sport star at Battle Creek High School.  In football as a senior, he earned All-District and All-Mid States Conference honors while also being selected Class C-2 All-State honorable mention.  As a wrestler, Wright is a three-time state qualifier and this season is ranked second in Class C at 220 pounds while surpassing 100 career wins.  In track and field last spring as a junior, Wright qualified in three events at state, helping Battle Creek win the Class C 4 x 100 meter relay.  He also placed eighth in the 100 meter dash and was a state qualifier in the shot put.
