2021:  Ran in all six meets...was Wayne State's #1 runner in two meets and #2 runner in other four...was top WSC runner, placing ninth overall at WSC Wildcat Classic (9/24/21) with time of 27:50 over 8,000 meters...had seventh place finish at Morningside Invite (9/17/21) in 26:53...top 8,000-meter time was 26:52 at Dordt Classic (10/9/21), placing 25th overall...was top WSC runner at NSIC Championships in Wayne with time of 27:27...#2 WSC runner at NCAA Central Regional in Missouri with 10,000-meter time of 33:30 (11/6/21)...earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors.

2020:  Season canceled due to COVID 19.

2019:  Participated in all six meets, recording two Top 30 finishes...was 19th at Herb Blakely/Dakota State Invite (9/14/19) with 8,000-meter time of 27:57.5 and finished 28th at Wildcat Classic (9/27/19) in 28:56.8...season-best 5,000-meter time was 27:37.8 at the Briar Cliff Invite (10/5/19)...named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

2018: Competed in all seven meets as a sophomore...was #2 finisher at season opening Augustana Twilight Meet with time of 24:24...was 9th overall at Wildcat Classic (9/29/18) with time of 28:10...top 8,000 meter time came at Briar Cliff Invite at 27:20...selected to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2017: Ran in all six meets during freshman season...best finish was 49th at Woody Greeno/UNL Invite (9/16/17) with time of 29:26...ran season best mark of 27:51 on 8,000 meter course at NSIC Championships (10/21/17).

High School:  Graduate of Fremont High School...three year letter winner in cross country and track and field...during senior season, qualified for two events in the Class A State Track Meet - running leg on second place 3,200-meter relay team and placing 16th in the 800-meter run (2:01.3)...was a Class A State Track qualifier in the 3,200-meter relay as a sophomore and junior, placing fifth in 2015 as a sophomore.

Personal:  Son of Patrick and Lana Hegarty...born October 5, 1998...earned bachelor's degree in computer science at WSC...now pursuing master's degree in IT management
