2022: Ran in four meets during the season...was top Wildcat runner at season opening Augustana Twilight Meet (9/2/22) with time of 20:36.2 on four mile course...finished as #2 runner for WSC at UNL/Woody Greeno Invite (9/17/22) in time of 27:00.4 on a 8000-meter course ...finished 77th at the NSIC Championships in Wayne (11/5/22) at 28:00.8...repeat selection to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2021:  Competed at all six meets during season...was #1 WSC runner at three meets and #2 runner at two others...won the Morningside Invitational (9/17/21) with time of 25:19.6 on 8,000-meter course and was named NSIC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week on 9/21/21...posted 10th place finish at WSC Wildcat Classic (9/24/21) in 27:50 and was 21st at Dordt Classic (10/9/21) with time of 26:33...opened season with 39th place finish at Augustana Twilight Invite (9/3/21) with time of 20:46 on four-mile course...named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2020:  Season canceled due to COVID 19.

2019:  Ran in season-opening Augustana Twilight Meet before suffering injury...posted time of 21:29.6 on 4,000-meter course.

High School: Was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track and field...earned All-Great Basin Conference honors in track and field as a junior and senior and placed seventh as a senior in the Idaho Class 4A 3,200-meter run with a personal-best time of 9:43.78...in cross country, McGonigal earned All-Great Basin Conference honors as a freshman and has a personal-best time of 17:06 in five kilometers...also named Most Inspirational Track Athlete as a junior and senior.
