2012 Outdoor: Competed in the javelin during freshman season with Wayne State...placed first at the Prairie Wolf Invite with a throw of 181'5".
High School: Graduate of Glenwood High School in Iowa...was a four year starter and letter winner in wrestling and one year starter in football...earned Academic All-Conference honors in football as a senior and was a district champion and state qualifier in wrestling at 171 pounds in senior season...threw personal best 183' 3" in javelin as member of Cornhusker Flyers Track Club and a medalist at the Junior Olympics...was a two-time national champion in the javelin and national champion in shot put...finished sixth in the javelin at the USATF Junior Olympic National Meet in summer of 2011 with personal best mark of 183' 3".
