Adam Schorzmann is in his first year (2024-25) as an assistant women's basketball coach at Wayne State College. Schorzmann brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Wildcat sidelines at the high school and collegiate level.
Schorzmann comes to Wayne after serving the last six years as head girls basketball coach at Tea Area High School in South Dakota, leading the program to an 89-49 record that was highlighted by a 21-5 mark and second place finish at the Class A State Tournament in the 2023-24 season.
Other coaching stops for Schorzmann include assistant boys basketball coach at Harrisburg High School (S.D.) from 2014-18, helping the Tigers to a second place finish at the 2018 State Tournament.
Schorzmann served as a student assistant for the South Dakota State women's basketball team from 2007-08 and was a graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball team at Dakota Wesleyan from 2012-14.
A native of Mitchell, South Dakota and graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Schorzmann earned his bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University in history and obtained a master's degree at Dakota Wesleyan University majoring in educational policy and administration.
Adam and his wife Ashley have two children - Della (three-years old) and Theodore (eight months old).
