2019 Outdoor: Participated in four meets...recorded season-best mark of 136' 6" in the hammer throw at Wildcat Classic (3/22/19)...threw 42' 3/4" in shot put to place ninth at Concordia Invite (4/6/19)...was 16th in the shot put at NSIC Outdoor Championships in Duluth (5/11/19) with throw of 40' 8 3/4".
2019 Indoor: Competed in shot put and weight throw during indoor season...threw season-best 42' 7 1/2" in shot put to place seventh at USD Dakota Realty Alumni Meet (2/2/19)...top mark in weight throw was 48' 9 1/2" to place 15th at SDSU Last Chance Invite (2/15/19)...season-best finish was fourth in shot put (39' 1 1/4") at Ward Haylett Crete Invitational on 1/12/19.
High School: Graduate of Holdrege High School...multi-sport standout in softball, basketball and track and field...,placed third in the Class B shot put as a senior throwing 42' 2 3/4"...as a junior, Connell was the Class B runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 40’ 8 ¾” and also placed 10
th in the discus (121’3”) while helping her team to a second place finish in Class B...also a Class B state qualifier in the shot put as a sophomore and excels in the classroom with Academic All-State honors.
Personal: Daughter of Wendell and Joanne Connell...born November 4, 1999...majoring in science education.
