Bebee Family Atrium
           The Bebee Family Atrium was completed during the spring 2025 semester as part of the second phase of the $30 million Wayne State Athletic and Recreation Complex project with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony held April 24th.Â
           The Atrium is a new 17,000-square foot addition that enclosed the open-airy alley space between the Recreation Center and Rice Auditorium and features two levels and a new entrance on the east side of the Recreation Center. The lower level features an area for social gathering along with a new student weight room while the second level showcases expanded lobby space for pre-event waiting, social gathering and study space for students along with storage space, a new ticket booth and hydraulic elevator to provide ADA accessibility and access to the Atrium and Rice Auditorium seating.Â
