Recreation Center
The Wayne State College Recreation Center opened in 1987 and is the college's main area for student recreation and selected athletic activities.  The current 58,000-square foot Recreation Center underwent a renovation that was completed in the spring of 2025.
The upgraded facility includes a new synthetic flooring system, which will increase the number of courts from three to four. The former 160-meter track was converted into a two-lane walking/jogging track adding cardio space, group exercise rooms with equipment and a netting system. The racquetball courts were converted into general student locker rooms with lockers, showers, a dry sauna room and restrooms. The second level now features additional offices and an open classroom area that helps provide an exceptional overall student engagement experience.
