Lincoln East's Michael Schinstock signs with WSC for cross country/track and field

2/26/2008 1:17:21 PM

Wayne State College track and field/cross country coach Marlon Brink announced today that Michael Schinstock of Lincoln East High School has signed a national letter of intent to attend Wayne State College and compete in cross country and track and field.  He is the fourth member of the 2008 Wildcat recruiting class, joining Joe Chebul of Bellevue West High School, Adam Meyer of Papillion-LaVista South High School and Zach Pierson of Papillion-LaVista High School.

Schinstock is a four year letter winner in both cross country and track and field at Lincoln East High School and has competed in the Class A State Cross Country Meet three year for the Spartans.  He also qualified for the State Track and Field Meet as a junior.

“Michael will be a nice addition to our cross country and track and field teams,” remarked Coach Brink.  “He is a good competitor and has qualified for the Nebraska State Meet in both cross country and track, so he knows what it takes to compete at a high level.  Michael is also a good student and should do well academically for us as well.”

Wayne State College is an NCAA Division II school located in Wayne, Nebraska and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.  The Wildcats are the two-time defending indoor and outdoor champions in men's track and field in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
