Wayne State falls to Minnesota State 3-0 Sunday afternoon

                 The Wayne State College soccer team fell to Minnesota State 3-0 Sunday afternoon at the Wayne State College Soccer Complex in Wayne, America. Minnesota State's Brittany Henry scored two first period goals to lead the Mavericks and make MSU 7-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the NSIC. The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-4-4 overall and 0-3-4 in the conference.
            Minnesota State got on the board at the 32:06 mark of the first half when Brittany Henry scored from eight yards out to make it 1-0 MSU. Two minutes later Henry made it 2-0 when she knocked in a header off the corner kick by Cassie Weik. Jessie Audas scored in the 77th minute to make it 3-0.
            The Mavericks outshot Wayne State 22-6 in the match. Wayne State's goalkeeper Emily Walker was solid in between the pipes for the Wildcats making nine saves in the match, including eight saves in the opening half. WSC was led offensively by Macy Hagen who had two shots on goal in the match.
            Wayne State College will play their final two home games of the 2010 season next weekend, hosting Bemidji State Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Minnesota Duluth Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
