Nebraska-Kearney, ranked 16th in the AFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, visits Wayne State in the season opener for both teams Thursday evening at Cunningham Field in Wayne.  Kickoff is slated for 6:10 p.m. with the game carried live statewide on Nebraska Educational Television (NET).  The Wildcats have won the last three meetings in the series, including a 24-17 overtime win in Kearney last season.
