A Minot State crossing pass 3:05 into the contest bounced off a Wayne State defender into the Wildcat goal for the lone goal of the contest to give the visiting Beavers a 1-0 Northern Sun Conference women's soccer win over Wayne State College Saturday afternoon at the WSC Soccer Complex in Wayne. Minot State is now 9-3-1 on the season and 7-3 in the NSIC while Wayne State falls to 1-11-1 overall and 1-8-1 in league play.
Wayne State had several scoring chances in the contest, but Minot State goalkeeper Marie Torres made eight saves to give the Beavers the shutout win. The Wildcats held a 15-11 advantage in shots on goal over the Beavers, including 8-6 in shots on goal. Minot State was called for 17 fouls and four yellow cards compared to just seven fouls on the Wildcats. WSC had one more corner kick than MSU, 3-2, while Minot State was called for offsides twice in the contest.

McKenna Adams led WSC with six shots including three on goal while
Norma Volkmer notched three shots, all on goal. Freshman
Courtney True made five saves while allowing one goal in the hard luck loss.
Wayne State will be at home again Sunday afternoon hosting the University of Mary in a Northern Sun Conference contest starting at 1 p.m. at the WSC Soccer Complex.
