#3 Minnesota Duluth 3 #19 Wayne State 0

            Kate Lange recorded a match-high 16 kills with 14 digs to lead #3 Minnesota Duluth in a 25-21, 25-18 and 25-23 Northern Sun Conference volleyball sweep Saturday afternoon over #19 Wayne State College at Rice Auditorium in Wayne.  The visiting Bulldogs move to 18-2 and 9-2 in the NSIC while dropping Wayne State to records of 15-6 overall and 7-4 in league play.
            UMD held a .277 to .171 advantage in attack percentage over the Wildcats and had 49 kills to 34 for WSC.  WSC did outblock the Bulldogs 8-5.
            Wayne State's top hitter was Cori Hobbs with 12 kills and 10 digs followed by Alex Armes with nine kills and five blocks.  Courtney VanGroningen had a team-high 14 digs while Leisa McClintock was credited with 24 set assists.
            For Minnesota Duluth, Lange had 16 kills and 14 digs followed by Kalli Lochner with 13 kills.  Julie Rainey accounted for 14 digs with Katie Ledwell recording 10 and Ashley Hinsch handed out 45 set assists for the Bulldogs.
            The Wildcats close out a four-game homestand Tuesday evening with a 7 p.m. Northern Sun Conference contest against travel partner Augustana College.
