            The Wayne State College volleyball team suffered their second straight loss on Tuesday evening as Augustana College defeated the #8 ranked Wildcats 3-0 with scores of the match going 21-25, 10-25 and 21-25. WSC is falls to 9-2 overall and 1-2 in league play while the Vikings improve to 9-2 and 1-2 in the NSIC.
            Augustana outhit Wayne State .331-.115 in the contest as the Vikings had 49 kills and nine errors on 121 attacks while the Wildcats had 36 kills and 20 errors on 139 attacks. Augie also held the edge in assists 46-35, service aces 3-2, digs 73-57 and both teams had four blocks.
            Senior outside hitter was the only player to get into double digit kills for Wayne State as she led the team with 11, Katie Hughes was second with seven kills and Katie Beiermann tallied six kills. Leisa McClintock racked up her fourth double-double of the season with 26 assists and 10 digs. Katie Hughes paced the 'Cats with 17 digs while Courtney VanGroningen added 11.
            Wayne State will be at home on Friday evening hosting Minot State in a 7 p.m. Northern Sun Conference contest at Rice Auditorium.
