            #3 Concordia-St. Paul hit .373 for the match to post a 25-18, 25-19 and 29-27 Northern Sun Conference volleyball victory Saturday afternoon over #12 Wayne State College at the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.  WSC drops to 17-4 and 10-3 in the league with the loss while the host Golden Bears move to 18-3 and 11-2 in the NSIC.
            The host Golden Bears led from start to finish in the first set, forcing six Wildcat attack errors while posting 13 kills for a 25-18 set win. 
            WSC battled with Concordia in the second set, forcing four ties.  The 'Cats used a Katie Hughes kill to even the score at 18-18.  After CU held a 20-19 lead, the Golden Bears closed the set with five straight points to win 25-19.
            The third set went back and forth as WSC took a 13-8 lead.  With WSC still leading 17-12, the Golden Bears rallied and took a 24-21 lead and had match point, only to watch the Wildcats score the next four points to give WSC set point with a 25-24 lead.  A kill from Katie Hughes knotted the score at 27-27, but CU used an Anna Schlaak kill and a block to end the set with a 29-27 win to complete the sweep over the Wildcats.
            Concordia-St. Paul hit .373 for the match while the Wildcats posted a .231 attack percentage.  CU had 49 kills to 43 for WSC and held an 8-3 advantage in blocks over the Wildcats.
            Katie Hughes had 13 kills and 10 digs for her 11th double-double of the season while Alyssa Frauendorfer contributed 13 kills for the Wildcats.  Junior setter Leisa McClintock had 36 set assists for WSC in the contest.
            Wayne State will play a non-conference match at William Jewell in Missouri Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. and return to Northern Sun Conference play next weekend with home matches against Winona State Friday night at 7 p.m. and Upper Iowa Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
