Box Score Bemidji State 5 Wayne State 1 Bemidji State handed Wayne State College a 5-1 loss Sunday afternoon in Northern Sun Conference women's soccer played at Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji, Minnesota. The host Beavers improve to 4-6 and 3-4 in the NSIC while the Wildcats drop to 1-8-1 and 0-7 in league play.
The Beavers scored twice in the first half, at the 5:31 and 28:15 marks, to take a 2-0 lead at intermission. BSU scored five minutes into the second half for a 3-0 lead. Wayne State scored its goal at the 55:26 mark when junior forward

Bemidji State added insurance goals late in the 81

th minutes to close out the scoring, making the final 5-1.
Bemidji State held a 23-8 advantage in shots over Wayne State, including 11-4 in shots on goal. The Beavers had five corner kicks compared to two by the Wildcats. BSU was called for seven fouls, two more than the Wildcats.
Kelsea Lambert led WSC with two shots on goal and her first goal of the season.
McKenna Adams also had two shots on goal for the Wildcats.

Kylie Comba played the final 19:21 and was credited with one save while allowing two goals.
Wayne State will be at home next weekend, hosting Minnesota Duluth Saturday and St. Cloud State Sunday in 1 p.m. matches at the WSC Soccer Complex.
