            #2 Minnesota Duluth handed #17 Wayne State its first NSIC loss Saturday afternoon at Rice Auditorium in Wayne as the Bulldogs swept the Wildcats 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.  Minnesota Duluth is now 13-1, 6-0 in the NSIC while Wayne State drops to 12-2, 5-1 in the NSIC.
            Minnesota Duluth hit .248 for the match while holding the Wildcats to a .070 hitting percentage.  The Bulldogs also had eight blocks as a team to the 'Cats five blocks in the match.  Minnesota Duluth also out dug Wayne State 68 to 50 for the match.
            Katie Hughes led the Wildcats offensively with nine kills with 15 digs for the match.  Elizabeth Gebhardt and Alyssa Frauendorfer added seven and five kills respectively.  Leisa McClintock handed out 22 assists for the match, and Courtney VanGroningen had 10 digs on the match as well.
            The Wildcats will be at home again next weekend, hosting #24 Northern State Friday evening at 7 p.m. and MSU Moorhead Saturday in a 4 p.m. contest at Rice Auditorium
