Wayne State hosts Bemidji State in the 2014 season opener Saturday in a 1 p.m. contest at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne.  Both teams are coming off uncharacteristic losing seasons in 2013 as WSC was 2-9 for its first losing record in seven seasons while BSU was 3-8 for its first losing campaign since 2008 and just the second losing season for the Beavers since 1997.  The Wildcats hold a 10-7 lead in the all-time series that began in 1990 and won the most recent meeting between the two clubs, 20-17 in Bemidji, during the 2012 season.
